“A wee bit of luck in the draw always helps. They beat Borussia Dortmund when they got to the final a couple of

years ago and you would have probably have said they were the favourites to win it outright.

“They are in a habit of winning knockout ties after Christmas and it’s a good habit to be in.

“They may have dropped the Old Firm match, but they bounced back quickly against Kilmarnock. Thus, the club

has an embedded winning attitude.

“The Rangers’ roster is large enough to meet the needs. The fans, in my opinion, also want it. Saying something

like “let’s leave Europe so we can focus on the league” is never a good idea.

“You ought to be battling for the two. They do, in my opinion, have a large enough squad to consider doing that.
