Supposed Rangers objective Will Dennis, who had an outstanding season with Kilmarnock, has agreed to a new

contract with Premier League Bournemouth.

With the signing of a two-year contract extension, the 23-year-old goalie will remain with the team through the

summer of 2026.

This might have a significant impact on Rangers’ ability to sign Will Dennis, who was previously linked to a

transfer to Ibrox with Celtic, an Old Firm opponent.

The goalkeeper’s contract at the Vitality was about to expire, but Bournemouth has moved to solidify their

position with the stopper.

Will Dennis agrees to a deal with Bournemouth

With 28 games played this season, Dennis has kept 11 clean sheets for Kilmarnock, and he has been an

important factor in the Ayrshire club’s fight for a European position.

The majority of his career has been spent on loan at non-league teams, but this season has been an amazing

improvement, and Neill Blake, the CEO of Bournemouth, is happy to get a transaction completed.

“Will is gaining excellent experience at Kilmarnock, playing regularly and competing for a European

qualification spot, and he’s a talented young player who adds strength to our goalkeeping department.”

Rangers strong in goalkeeper department

Rangers are somewhat blessed in the goalkeeper position with summer signing Jack Butland proving a

revelation between the sticks at Ibrox this season.

The former England international has been one of the stand-out signings of the season and Rangers are in a

position of strength with the keeper having tied him down on a four-year deal.

Rangers also have Scotland international hopeful Robby McCrorie on their books in their squad, with the

Ibrox Academy graduate pushing Butland all the way as things stand.

Philippe Clement has also admitted that the youngster will get his chance at Ibrox at some stage this season.

It means that Will Dennis would face sizeable competition at Rangers and when you factor in the new

Bournemouth contract, suddenly those links start to go a little cold.
