Rangers player set for permanent departure from the club
In an Ibrox update, Dinamo Zagreb is prepared to take Borna Barisic home as the Rangers exit on cards.
Borna Barisic, a defender for Rangers, has drawn interest from Dinamo Zagreb before his contract expires at the end
of the current campaign, according to Scottish Daily Mail.
The current Croatian Football League champions are interested in bringing Barisic back home, and the player is
expected to move to Glasgow in 2018. This was stated in the newspaper on January 8, page 69.
The 31-year-old secured a contract extension at Ibrox after making an impression there, and he left Ojijek in August
2018 for a reported £2.2 million fee, according to BBC Sport. The contract will expire at the conclusion of this
season.

After joining Rangers in 2018, Barisic has made 224 appearances in blue while scoring nine goals in all competitions.
He has given it his all.
But when Philippe Clement takes over, it’s becoming clear that the full-back’s time at the team is running out due to
his injury problems. Barisic’s contract appears to be expiring, and the Belgian manager is looking to bring in a new
defender.
After a devoted six years at Rangers, a return to previous team Dinamo Zagreb would be an appropriate sendoff,
providing him with one more chance to establish himself at one of the largest teams in Croatia.
At the age of 22, the player signed with Dinamo Zagreb in 2015, but he failed to make an impression and was almost
immediately loaned out to NK Lokomotiva. After making just one game for the team, the player was sent back to
Osijek after his return.
Now, after establishing himself at Rangers by winning the Scottish Premiership and the Viaplay Scottish League Cup
and making frequent appearances in the Europa League and Champions League.
He has participated in both the World Cup and the EUROs, earning 35 caps for his nation.
