Celtics Star Questionable for Monday’s
Game vs. Pacers The Boston Celtics, who now lead the
NBA standings, defeated the Indiana
Pacers 118-101 on Saturday night to raise their record to 28-7.
The C’s host the second half of this two-
tilt mini-series on Monday night at
Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where they held
the latter to their lowest scoring output of the season.
Jayson Tatum scored a game-high 38
points, 15 of which came in the winning
shot in the last quarter. The future five-
time All-Star made 14 of 23 field goals
and buried 8 of 13 efforts from beyond
the arc. Along with that output, he added
six assists and 14 rebounds, which was the most in the game.
However, it’s possible that the three-time
All-NBA selection won’t play on Monday.
Boston describes him as doubtful on its
injury report because of the way they handled his left ankle issue.
Due to right eye discomfort, Kristaps
Porzingis, who was accidentally jabbed
in the eye by Aaron Nesmith, is also
doubtful. He left the game on Saturday’s
victory early after receiving an injection
of droplets and then rejoined the game.
Sam Hauser, who registered five points
and four rebounds off the bench in last
night’s victory, is questionable due to
right shoulder impingement.
