Draymond Green may have reached the end of the line with Warriors
The Golden State Warriors’ future with
Draymond Green is a contentious issue.
The seasoned forward is currently
serving an indefinite-term suspension
for the second time this season. Over the
previous 18 months, he has been in
several altercations, starting with his
attack on Jordan Poole at Golden State’s 2022 training camp.
Green and Golden State agreed to a
four-year, $100 million deal extension
during the off-season. But his future
with the franchise is now in doubt due
to his recent offenses. This season, the
Warriors have had difficulty living up
to their typical caliber. Maybe the only
way to save their season is to make a trade
In his recent article for The Ringer,
Kevin O’Connor noted how Green
would still have a trade market should he be made available.
Green has won four NBA
championships. In addition, he has been
selected to the All-Defensive team eight
times and won defensive player of the
year once. Despite his previous
disciplinary problems, a number of
competing teams might be interested in signing him.
