Aguerd is included on Morocco’s CAF Africa Cup of Nations roster
Morocco’s 27-member roster for the 2023 CAF Cup of Nations competition includes Nayef Aguerd.
Walid Regragui’s roster for the finals has included the West Ham United center defender, who has made 21
appearances across all competitions this season. The Atlas Lions will play Tanzania in Group F on Wednesday,
January 17. Tanzania will be the opponent for Aguerd and his international teammates at the Laurent Pokou
Stadium in San-Pédro. Morocco was scheduled to play DR Congo on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Laurent Pokou
Stadium. On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, they will play Zambia in the final Group F match.
The championship match will take place on Sunday, February 11 at 8:00 p.m. GMT at the Olympic Stadium in
Ebimpé. Since making his debut for his country in August 2016, Aguerd has made 34 appearances for it. In August
2016, he assisted Morocco in winning their first African Nations Championship, which they achieved at home against
