Does Gary Neville think Aston Villa can win the Premier League this year?

After a remarkable start, Gary Neville has now stated if he thinks Aston Villa can win the Premier League this year.

Amazingly, Unai Emery’s team is ranked second in the standings after going undefeated at home in 2023 and scoring

several significant victories over teams like Manchester City and Arsenal.

With Liverpool leading by three points, Neville has now delivered his assessment on whether Villa can genuinely win

the Premier League championship. Neville stated on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports: “I don’t think they can

win it, but I think their presence up there is fantastic, not just for Villa but also for us.”

“I believe Villa up there is good for the league, and we need to see that the top clubs can be disrupted and that we

have real competitiveness.” The league benefits from West Ham’s ascent.

“Having spent four months in Spain, I have faith in Unai Emery since he was well-respected and knowledgeable

about his work during that time. Although his time at Arsenal didn’t work out, he returned to Spain, where he

excelled, and he is now achieving amazing things at Villa.

Villa must have faith in their ability to win the Premier League.

At the beginning of the season, nobody would have imagined this statement, but by the midway mark, Villa is a real

contender for the Premier League championship.

Villa Park is becoming the league’s most dangerous ground thanks to Emery, who has elevated players like Ollie

Watkins and John McGinn to possible Player of the Season contenders. And after everything Villa has done so far

this season, the team needs to start believing they can win the Premier League.

Even though the second half of the season is usually more difficult, Villa will remain competitive thanks to this

month’s astute acquisitions and a robust roster rotation, led by Emery, who is doing a fantastic job at the club.
