Yannick Eduardo may be a target for Aston Villa.
According to John Percy, Aston Villa could pursue Yannick Eduardo during the January transfer window if they need to recruit a new forward.
According to a journalist with The Telegraph, Villa will need to bring in a new right-back, forward, and maybe
another attacker next month. Villa has been playing beyond their league level, and as a result, they are now three
points behind Liverpool in second place.
Eduardo might turn into a “surprise target” for Villa in the January transfer window, according to Percy. The highly
regarded 17-year-old striker has been doing admirably for the U-19 team.
In 13 games this season with the junior team, he has seven goals and three assists.
“They have some room to spend, but since Nico Williams, a long-term Emery target, inked a new deal with Athletic
Bilbao, their dreams of landing the winger are dashed. Yannick Eduardo, an attacker for RB Leipzig, would be a
surprise target, Percy wrote.
Does Villa need to pursue well-known players?
Under Emery, Villa has excelled this year and have a great opportunity to finish in the top four. Liverpool,
Manchester City, and Arsenal are still the favorites to win the Premier League this year, but Villa is predicted to be
competitive and finish in at least fourth place.
Signing players is expected from teams like Tottenham and Newcastle, thus it would be a grave mistake for Villa to
ignore strengthening their roster.
Although Eduardo appears to be a gifted player, should Villa try to sign another accomplished striker? Whilst Ollie
Watkins has been outstanding so far this year, they would have had greater depth in the second part of the campaign
if they had added another veteran striker.
This season in the Premier League, Watkins has nine goals and eight assists.
