Is the Pacific division any tougher than

the other, pound for pound, inch for

inch, baller for baller? Four clubs in

California and one in Arizona are loaded

with Hall-of-Famers, up-and-coming

young players, and tough veterans eager to leave their mark.

And last season, every single team in the

division made the playoffs. With a

division this competitive, there’s a lot of

opportunities for development ahead of

the postseason. Also, there’s plenty of

possible losses ahead for these divisional

foes as they battle it out with each other.

Last season, the Sacramento Kings were

the Pacific Division champions. Here’s

how the standings shook out last year:

The Dubs prevailed in the first-round

carnage between the Kings and

Warriors. Phoenix defeated the Clippers

in five games during their matchup with

the Suns in that same round. The Lakers

then destroyed the Dubs in six games

during the second round. Dividend-based cannibalism!

As it stands right now on the last day of

the year, here are the current Pac Div standings:

15-17 is notttt the record the Dubs would

like to have after 32 games. But they are

only 4.5 games back from the best record

in the division. Onward to 2023!
