Aston Villa ‘Furious’ after Everton loanee involved in ‘Farcical’ scenes – report

The Daily Mail claims that during Brentford’s game against a “furious” Aston Villa,

Everton loanee Neal Maupay was involved in some “farcical” situations.

Despite the fact that the FA has penalised both Villa and Brentford for failing to regulate their players,

the national news agency claimed on December 22 that the former club is

very dissatisfied with the behaviour of the Bees.

Emiliano Martinez, the Villa custodian, and the Brentford substitute,

who is on loan from the Toffees till the end of the season, were involved.

After an altercation, the shot-stopper fell to the ground as the Frenchman charged him down.

An unsafe game to engage in

With 18 yellow cards in the Premier League since 2019,

Maupay is a man who can cause problems when he wants to.

Additionally, he was able to rack up eighteen yellow cards in two prior

Championship seasons while playing for Brentford.

Being driven to succeed and acting foolishly are two very different things.

Usually, the queue is hazy when it comes to Maupay.

The 27-year-old scored his second goal of the season against Luton Town less

than a month after netting his first in 14 months in a 3-2 home victory against West Ham last month.

The forward is an odd occurrence.

In 85 games during his breakthrough seasons with Brentford,

he scored 37 goals. In his first three seasons in the Premier League, he even scored 26 goals.

Maupay has only scored three goals in his previous two seasons, though.

He has a lot of questions regarding his future at Goodison Park because his loan agreement expires in June 2024.

Maupay receives more warnings than goals,

and his current behaviour at the Gtech Community Stadium shows that

he presents far more issues than answers.

Does keeping the player make sense? Most likely not.

Will it be simpler to try to sell him in the summer or in January?
