Steve Kerr Gets Real On Jordan Poole Returning To Face The Warriors

Steve Kerr is thrilled that Jordan Poole will be returning to Golden State for

his first game since departing the Warriors.

Despite having just played a brief stint with the Warriors,

Jordan Poole can be considered a key member in the team’s success.

He was essential to the Warriors’ 2022 Playoff victory.

His tenure with the team was damaged by off-court problems, and the Warriors traded him for Chris Paul.

Even though his time in Golden State ended amicably,

his former coach Steve Kerr is happy to see him back at the Chase Centre.

 

“All right, so first I know our fans will give him a standing ovation,

so I’m thrilled for him.

And that’s what he deserves. He is victorious.

Without Jordan, we couldn’t win that championship.

Kerr is not in error. One of the league’s finest sixth men,

Poole averaged 17.0 points in the 2022 Playoffs with remarkable efficiency.

He improved to a 20-point scorer during the 2022–2023 regular season,

but he faltered in the postseason and needed to be relocated.

There were indications that he wasn’t getting along in the locker room,

as evidenced by the fact that Draymond Green had punched him preseason.

He hasn’t yet regained the high level of play from his days as a Warriors player on the Washington Wizards.

Despite his impressive 17.4 point, 2.5 rebound, and 3.5 assist average,

he is frequently criticised for his immaturity, low IQ plays, and negative attitude.

If you’re going to be the target of criticism,

you’d be wise to reflect and set the record straight.

Since Poole is still young and in control of his future,

this season can be written off as an adjustment year,

but only if Poole lives up to his potential rather than being cut by one of

the worst teams in the NBA because he’s not good enough.

If Poole can start playing the right way and lead the Wizards,

he could become a valuable guard in the NBA once again.
