On Saturday, Livingston will try to frustrate Celtic.

Brendan needs to make it clear to everyone that he is a top-tier football manager.

People often say that the next game following a loss can’t come soon enough.

For us, that game is this Saturday afternoon at Celtic Park against the league leaders,

Livingston, who are now bottom of the Scottish Premiership.

While Livingston may be having difficulties at the bottom of the standings,

this is not a significant issue in the big picture.

We can be certain that David Martindale will employ his typical strategies to suppress us,

and we will be fortunate to witness him cross the halfway point.

Livingston is someone we shouldn’t undervalue in any manner

since they are also fighting for their own existence, and this game is very important to them.

Due to their small fan base, they are solely dependent on the money from

the Scottish Premiership and, naturally,

the away support of Celtic and the other gang.

In the absence of such, the West Lothian side might have to call it quits.

Martindale is not stupid, and neither is any other manager in the league;

they all know how to play against this Celtic team, and Livingston is no exception.

They have shown this on numerous occasions in the past,

both against us and against Celtic teams that are far stronger and more confident than the current one.

But Brendan will be fully aware of Little David’s game plan before a ball is ever kicked,

just as Martindale is skilled at playing against us.

It is his responsibility to overcome it and succeed; after all,

that is why he was paid so much.

We have to get off to a fast start in order to intimidate them and give ourselves

the best chance of scoring the crucial early goal.

I’m positive that we can win the game if we follow through on that.

But it’s going to be a long, miserable afternoon if we begin the match

in the same sluggish manner as we did against Hearts.

Martindale will be telling his players that the longer they prevent us from scoring,

the more irate the Celtic fans will become and the hostile environment

from the previous Saturday will likely return and even get worse.

The Celtics’ supporters need to be patient and stand with the team while

we try our hardest to win the three points.

Thus, it’s time for Brendan to step up, the players, and the support on Saturday.

Each of us has a part to perform and a league to win.
