Brendan Rodgers has garnered support from Neil Lennon,

who maintains that the player is not under pressure at Celtic.

With the Hoops unable to match Ange Postecoglou’s team’s attacking rhythm and

vigour with some players failing to impress,

questions have been raised about the Northern Irishman.

Even though Kilmarnock’s loss was the first in the league this year,

the team’s performance was subpar, as it has been throughout this campaign.

In addition, prior to yesterday night’s victory over Feyenoord,

they had only two points from their previous five games and had crashed out of Europe entirely before Christmas.

That was their first home win in ten years and put an end to a 15-game losing streak in the UCL.

In his capacity as a pundit for TNT Sports during the game,

Lennon stood up for his compatriot when host Reshmin

Chowdhury questioned how much pressure he was under.

There is never a crisis at Celtic, according to the former captain and manager of the Hoops,

but there isn’t, in his opinion, a great deal of pressure, particularly from the board.

Yet after Rodgers’ departure for Leicester, Chowdhury interjected once more,

questioning what wiggle room Rodgers had with the fans.

“How about the supporters?” she enquired.

“Not everyone was in favour of him returning to Celtic because of the way he departed and returned.”

“That’s true, but Brendan is an elite manager, and he’s proven it,” Lennon shot back.

He is in the midst of a rebuilding process and will undoubtedly be

disappointed with the Champions League campaign,

but more than anything else, he is being watched closely.

Now that we are out of Europe, winning this game would be wonderful and significant,

but the main focus will be on attempting to win the championship once more,

and pressure will start to mount when the Rangers visit later this month.
