Beto: Amazing Fans’ Goal: Goodison Beto, a forward for the Blues, promised to return the Evertonians for their love and support since joining a special and adorable team,

dedicating his first goal at Goodison to the “incredible” Evertonians.

After replacing Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 85th minute on Thursday night against Newcastle United,

the summer acquisition from Udinese scored the third goal to seal a 3-0 victory for Sean Dyche’s team.

This was Beto’s first goal at the Grand Old Lady after he scored on his debut in Everton’s

Carabao Cup victory against Doncaster Rovers in August. And what a goal it was,

as the Toffees strung together a sequence of 29 passes before the Portuguese broke down the right channel,

muscled off Fabian Schar, and slotted past Magpies keeper Martin Dubravka.

Soon after, Goodison was the center of celebration as the well-known forward was serenaded with a

rendition of “Olé, Olé, Olé, Beto, Beto,” as Everton emerged from the relegation zone with a second straight victory,

only a few weeks after being docked ten points by the Premier League commission.

In a heart-warming interview with evertontv, Beto opened up on what it meant to net in front

of the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End, and described his emotion at the support he has received since moving to Merseyside.

“It feels amazing,” said the 25-year-old. “What a relief. This goal was so, so important to me.

I wanted to score a lot at Goodison, for these amazing fans.

They have been saying, “Beto, Beto, Beto,” ever since I arrived. They want me to score, and I want to score for them.

Along with my comrades, of course, I want to dedicate this achievement to them.

It was incredible. It’s an incredible sensation. I don’t understand; I want to return all of the affection.
