Tonight’s Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United takes place in north London.

West Ham is coming into Tottenham having gone five games without a loss in all competitions,

with two victories and a draw from our last three Premier League games.

However, at times, the football has been quite unpleasant to watch.

After making a concerning assertion ahead of Tottenham, West Ham supporters will be furious and anticipating the worse.

In pursuit of his first victory away from home against a top six team since his return to the London Stadium,

David Moyes’s match against Spurs tonight will be a true barometer of the Hammers’ current state.

Regaining the lead would be a great accomplishment; in all honesty,

even a draw would put us back in the running for the top seven.

So what strategy will Moyes employ for this game?

Will he remain true to his beliefs and organise his team against

the major clubs in the same manner that has produced such limited results away from home?

Could he maybe switch things up and take Spurs to the limit?

Regretfully, it appears that we may be in for yet another sleep-fest.

Tottenham vs. West Ham game plan revealed by Moyes

The Evening Standard claims that the manager of the Hammers is not going to deviate

from his methodical approach in north London this evening.

Thus, it appears like tonight will be more of the same old, same old for West Ham.

Just the fact that Moyes is so awful on the road against the best six teams should

be reason enough for the Scot to at least reevaluate his approach.

But now it appears that the sixty-year-old is too entrenched in his ways.

This is the solution. We must strike Tottenham hard and quickly on the counter if Moyes continues to play his customary low-blocking style, which will give them the most of the ball.

If not, tonight’s game will be a meaningless drill.

In order to prevent tonight’s match in north London becoming a walkover for the home team,

West Ham must trouble Tottenham and give them reason to believe that we pose a serious threat.

We want not to be overly submissive. Although I enjoy our counterattacking style of play,

we shouldn’t give Spurs the freedom to do anything they want when they have the ball.

I hope we can get the three points we need tonight by hurting them. But I just don’t see it.
