Rodgers’ remarks from St Johnstone were still fresh in the minds of the Celtic fans,

and the entire team performed admirably, from the defense to the front players.

However, it was Celtic’s midfield that made Neil McCann, a former striker for Rangers, jealous of the Parkhead team.

Although Matt O’Riley’s goal was acknowledged by McCann,

the former Ibrox player was more pleased with the Hoops midfield’s offensive threat.

“Celtic do it better than anyone because the midfielders break into scoring positions so often and he’s [Matt O’Riley] scored so many

really good goals for Celtic,” McCann added [BBC Sportscene].

Dylan Levitt understands now, though, that giving up a second goal at Celtic Park after missing an early one was a mistake.

“Levitt sees him, but he doesn’t follow through, so Matt O’Riley appropriately punishes.”

Celtic has continued to use this motif under Brendan Rodgers. The squad now shares the

responsibility for finding the back of the net, so the Hoops coach is no longer dependent on just one person to score goals.

In his first stint as manager at Celtic, Rodgers implanted this philosophy,

and it appears that as the season progresses, the midfield will score more goals for the supporters.

In other news, Greg Taylor and Brendan Rodgers expressed their annoyance with Luis Palma vs. the Hibs.

Celtic’s win over Hibs in the Scottish Premiership was a great all-round team performance that really pleased the manager, Brendan Rodgers.
