In words obtained by the Daily Record [21 February], the former Gers loanee confirmed he may make the permanent

transition, which would earn the Bears a 10% profit from any charge.

Speaking only to Ibrox News, Ferguson emphasized that the team received the best possible outcome for Tilman,

a player he refers to as “talented.”

To be honest with you, it’s been a nice deal that one, so of course any money coming in is wonderful news.

“He’s a good player that’s for sure, that’s clearly why a lot of Rangers fans wanted him at the club, he’s a talented boy and

again I used to try and remind a few of the fans he’s a young boy, still learning the game, we tend to forget that.

Rangers and Bayern Munich came to a deal that prevented Tillman from moving to Ibrox, and as a result, the club will

receive 10% of any future transfer revenues. If all goes according to plan with his move to PSV,

that money should arrive shortly.

Ferguson is correct to commend the former Rangers player; he was a talented player,

and many fans were disappointed when he left following his loan period. Nevertheless,

the club has done as well as it could have given the circumstances.

Gaining an extra £1.2 million won’t harm anything; it might be put towards balancing the

books at Ibrox or added to any potential summer transfer budget.
