Bolton is hoping to keep up its promotion push in the second half of the season,

therefore Neil Hart doesn’t anticipate the club being overly active in the January transfer window.

In addition to leading League One and remaining involved in the Emirates FA Cup and Bristol Street Motors Trophy,

Wanderers have just over four weeks until the window opens, which will allow clubs all over the continent to bolster their playing squads.

The Trotters have done a lot of business around the middle of the season in the past,

bringing in players like Dion Charles, Aaron Morley, Victor Adeboyejo, and several more.

However, Hart, the CEO of the Toughsheet Community Stadium, thinks this time around is a little different.

Ian, Chris Markham, myself, and the other board members had a meeting last week, Hart said to BBC Radio Manchester.

We’re pleased with the squad, I believe. It’s more, in my opinion, emergency preparation.

“I believe that this year’s squad has a lot of depth,

and performances show that when a player goes out and another one joins.

“We’ll consider opportunities as they present themselves, but as of right now,

there isn’t a set plan for whether or not we want him.”

“Ian is happy with the squad and we’re happy with how things are going.”

Hart, a member of the board that approved Bristol City’s £1 million bid for George Thomason in the summer,

acknowledges that other teams might be considering the Whites’ players,

but he insists specific choices will be taken when such opportunities present themselves.

“That might be a problem for us but we’ll deal with that as and if that comes in.”
