Jaylen Brown Credits Celtics Coaches For Teaching Team ‘How To See Game’
At 37-12, the Boston Celtics have the best overall record in the NBA. They have only lost three of their twenty-five home games at TD
Garden, making them almost flawless.
As reported by Jay King of The Athletic, Jaylen Brown, a great player for the Boston Celtics, acknowledges that the players are on the
court carrying out the plays, but he gives credit to the coaching staff for teaching them how to see the game through coverages,
matchups, and appropriate reads.
Brown told King, “That’s how basketball is supposed to be played.” “A more deliberate rendition.”
Brown added: “Attention to detail. It’s the smallest details. If a big is up or if a big is back. If they’re switching or if they’re staying,
maintaining. Just reading the different coverages on the fly and making the right read versus the right coverage.”

Though it may have cost us a game or two early in the season, we are definitely thinking about how we can grow and develop certain
areas of our team and continue to improve, so when the lights are brightest, we feel comfortable. “Maybe last year, we won a lot of
these games that were big games or whatever, but I don’t know how much that prepared us for later in the season,” the coach said.
