Rangers ace set to jet out of UK within days to seal Ibrox exit – report

In a few days, Jose Cifuentes will travel to Brazil to complete the Rangers’ departure.

According to Glasgow Times, midfielder Jose Cifuentes of Rangers is poised to finish his

move from Ibrox and join Cruzeiro in Brazil this week.

The Ecuadorian midfielder was given permission to quit Rangers less than six months after joining,

according to a story published on the Scottish news outlet’s website on February 4.

He was informed that Philippe Clement had already made all the necessary arrangements and

that he was not included in his plans.

In order to prepare for this summer’s Copa America competition, the 24-year-old rejected down

offers to go to Turkey during the transfer season. A loan move to Brazil now appears likely to be finalized.

Rangers surprise

It would have been difficult to find a supporter of Cifuentes’ midfield abilities when he

joined the team in the summer transfer window.

He appeared to possess all the necessary qualities—strong ball handling, excellent defensive tactical awareness, and exceptional

physical attributes—to travel to Scotland and have a significant effect.

However, he was tardy in arriving in Glasgow, and with Michael Beale having a difficult time,

he was unable to have any kind of influence. Given his injuries and lack of motivation to improve the situation,

Clement’s choice to approve his departure was evidently simple.

Although it’s surprising that the deal flopped so horribly, Clement has plenty of reasons to

let Mohammed Diomane go, and it’s the appropriate move to break things up early.

Fortunately, it’s all likely going to come to a head this week. If Cifuentes wants out and wants to

go somewhere else, let him leave and the club can easily forget this transaction ever occurred.
