that the Boston Celtics are interested in
dealing for Kelly Olynyk, despite the slim
chance of that happening.
“Yes, former Celtic Olynyk has been

this season,” Murray said, before adding,
“Stevens would have to work a little
harder to pull off this deal because of
Olynyk’s contract, but Olynyk is exactly
the kind of player Stevens generally
looks for at the deadline. Stretch big
man, he can space the floor and finish
the three when the situation calls for it.
Olynyk’s name is well-known to Boston
fans since he was drafted by the team in
2013. I don’t think Boston has the money
to pull this one off but rumors have been
swirling and Stevens has an ability to
make moves seemingly out of thin air.”
Stevens is alluding to the $12.1 million
deal that Olynyk has expiring in 2023–
2024; the Cs would prorate that amount
by the time they hypothetically land the
former Danny Ainge lottery choice.
It’s unlikely that the Boston Celtics will
trade Payton Pritchard to acquire Kelly
Olynyk.
The NBA is known as the league where
