Galatasaray’s pursuit of Rangers fullback Rıdvan Yılmaz has evolved into a long January drama, and the Turkish side has not given up on the signing.

Earlier today, rumors said that there is an insistence on a deal with the Ibrox club, who are demanding €4.5 million for the sale.

According to writer Gokmen Ozcan, Rangers and Besiktas have reached a deal for Yılmaz’s future transfer.

If the Scottish team secures a contract for Yılmaz with another Turkish club,

they must notify Besiktas via a ‘process email’.

That way, the Istanbul side has a chance to match the offer, and the player may decide where he wants to go next.

Ozcan claims that Yılmaz refuses to leave. He wants to stay with Rangers until the conclusion of the season,

which could explain why talks have stagnated.

Even though the Turkish transfer window ends next week,

the Ibrox side is unlikely to sell players following today’s deadline.
