Fulham is showing interest in Preston North End prodigy Kian Best, according to an Alan Nixon Patreon report.

This season, Preston North End has witnessed the 18-year-old Best secure a spot in Ryan Lowe’s starting lineup.

On the first day of the season, he made his senior debut.

In all, he has made 11 appearances in competitions.

His performances have earned him a spot on the England U19 squad,

and he’s become one of the most exciting prospects in the Championship.

His performances appear to have drawn attention in the Premier League as of late.

According to reporter Nixon’s Patreon post,

Fulham is closely monitoring Best’s circumstances.

In anticipation of a future move, scout Brian Talbot has been keeping an eye on the Preston child and compiling a dossier on his skills.

Best signed a deal in the summer of 2022 and is now contracted with Deepdale through the summer of 2025.

Although he has previously played as a centre defender and defensive midfielder,

he primarily plays on the left as a wing-back or full-back.

Numerous people have predicted that Best will advance in the future years after he made a notable breakthrough with Preston early in the campaign.

Time will tell, though, if it occurs this winter or sooner.

That other teams are monitoring his abilities would not come as a surprise.

However, Nixon claims that the Cottagers are the first to show a genuine interest,

so it will be interesting to see if they do when the window opens in less than a month.

Prior to coming off the bench against QPR on Friday night,

Best had started four straight Championship games. Lowe went to a four-man defence,

with Andrew Hughes starting at left back.
