“A source also told me..” – Rangers not done yet as Sky Sports man makes new transfer claim

Rangers have had a busy transfer window thus far,

with the clock ticking down on the penultimate day of Philippe Clement’s stay.

The Gers manager has managed to upgrade his team,

and there may be one or two new faces at Ibrox this weekend.

As we all know, anything can happen on transfer deadline day,

and deals can be completed up until 11:30pm,

with Rangers expected to give Philippe Clement a boost, according to Sky Sports’ Michael Bridge.

Rangers to offer Philippe Clement a deadline day bonus?

According to GiveMeSport, Fabio Silva, Mohamed Diomande,

and Oscar Cortes will not be the only stars coming through the door:

“A source also informed me that there could be one more, so we’ll have to wait and see.

“But I think if Clement got four in, he’d be delighted because I don’t think he inherited the best squad in the world,

and he inherited players who came in in the summer who just haven’t done enough.”

Jeftes is another name that has previously been mentioned in connection with a prospective transaction that could occur this summer.

Rangers fans agree on one position that they believe needs to be strengthened: another striker.

Silva and Cortes will add depth to the forward line,

but neither has a track record of scoring consistently.

Given how difficult it is to attract strikers in January,

Philippe Clement may have little to complain about if Rangers can sign another number nine.

As with Silva, Cortes, and Diomande, no names have been mentioned in recent days,

with Lawrence Shankland receiving column inches.

A link that has been floating around in circles despite Hearts receiving no expressions of interest or bids.

There isn’t much time left; if Rangers want a striker, they will need to act quickly.

If “one more” arrives and it is not a striker,

what should have been a successful window will be called into doubt.
