In the January transfer window,

West Ham United is keeping an eye on a world-class left-back from one of our London competitors.

For West Ham manager David Moyes, the January transfer window will be crucial, and adding a left-back should be top of his list of objectives. Because Aaron Cresswell is expected to depart the London Stadium,

the Hammers manager is in dire need of bringing in more competition and covering for Emerson Palmieri.

Additionally, it appears that Moyes has a very intriguing player scheduled for this winter.

The left-back Ian Maatsen of Chelsea is the subject of a bid from West Ham, as reported by Rudy Galetti of Sport Italia.

The 21-year-old has been linked to the Hammers on multiple occasions in the past, and he recently acknowledged that he might need to leave Stamford Bridge in order to begin playing on a regular basis for the first team.

West Ham currently appears poised to make a move to sign the highly regarded Netherlands under-21 international.

Blues, defender del lefto. Rudy Galetti believes that Maatsen will be very much on the Hammers’ radar this winter.

Additionally, it’s possible that West Ham has already inquired about the gifted Chelsea defender before the January transfer window opens:

Maatsen would be the ideal addition to our team and Emerson’s long-term replacement if he moved to the London Stadium, in my opinion.

According to The Athletic, Ian Maatsen may be available for roughly £20 million, which would,

in my opinion, be excellent value for West Ham.

He is a terrific tackler, has a plethora of pace, and the strength and endurance to play wing-back if necessary.

He would, as previously stated, be a colossal improvement over Cresswell and would really challenge Emerson for a starting spot.

The West Ham supporters should be ecstatic if the Chelsea left-back shows up at the London Stadium during the January transfer window.
