Rangers let player talk to another club, loan until 2025 now on cards – report Ibrox News
Speaking with Brazilian team Cruzeiro about leaving Rangers once the Rizespor deal falls through, Jose

After negotiations with Rizespor broke down, Rangers have given Jose Cifuentes permission to start
talking to Brazilian team Cruzeiro about a possible loan move, according to Alan Nixon.
On January 29, the Sun writer revealed on his Patreon page that the agreement under consideration is a
one-year loan move, which would mean he would return to Ibrox in January of the following year
instead of the summer.
Additionally, it’s reported that Cifuentes is still hoping to succeed at Ibrox and believes that, following
his first half-season in Glasgow, a strong loan move will persuade any doubters at Rangers to
reconsider.
Let’s hope he can continue.
A possible return to Glasgow after that might be the best course of action for all sides if Cifuentes can
move away from Ibrox and the attention that comes with it, as well as make progress in his career and
skills away from Rangers.
It’s encouraging to hear that the player is still motivated to succeed at Rangers, in contrast to other
players who signed with him under Michael Beale who were eager to leave with no intention of coming
back.
Moving to Brazil might provide Cifuentes more room to grow and develop his game before returning to
the Rangers with more experience and a more well-rounded game that could help him make the step up
if he wants to finally flourish at Ibrox.
He has had difficulty adjusting to Scottish football in the first half of this season after moving from the
MLS, but given the transfer fee that Ranfers paid for him, it makes sense for both him and Ranfers to go
on loan with the intention of eventually returning to Ibrox.
In other Rangers news, it’s anticipated that this week will see new transfer negotiations.
