Steven Naismith responds to Rangers issue over Alex Lowry injury return after Hearts loan cut short

Manager Philippe Clement had claimed he had not known Lowry was injured for weeks when he returned to Glasgow

Steven Naismith has responded to Philippe Clement’s claims that Rangers did not know the full extent of Alex Lowry’s injury upon his return from Hearts.

The attacker had hisoan  Jambos ldeal cut short this week after making just 17 appearances in all competitions.

Naismith explained how it was for the good of the player and another move for the 20-year-old was on the cards. Clement,

however,

explained how the player could miss six to eight weeks of the season after returning to Glasgow with a worse injury than first expected but the Hearts boss put that down to a lack of communication on Gers’ part.

“I think that’s more to do with internal communication between their departments than anything to do with us,

” he”With any loan player,

there is nothing that can be done without the parent club having the say-so.

The whole way through with Alex, Rangers were in control of it.

So it must be a communication issue with them.”

rendan Rodgers insists he’s heard it all before when a portion of Celtic fans booed

his team off the pitch following their 1-0 victory against Ross County.

Some fans were disappointed with the quality on display at Parkhead,

as Alistair Johnston’s early deflected strike was the only goal of the game as they edged off the Staggies on a sticky day in Glasgow.

The manager understood the reaction,

but stated that the squad and management staff will continue to do everything possible to get three points on the board,

regardless of how they played.

Rodgers acknowledged the possibility of falling “below expectation”

and what he and the team would do if that happened. However, he brought up fan reactions on the board.
