Billionaire-owned club now front queue to sign Rangers player in deadline-busting deal

Brighton have now emerged as frontrunners as they’re ahead of everyone else in the queue to sign Rangers attacker Archie Stevens, per the Scottish Sun.

On January 27, the tabloid stated on its website that the Premier League club is the favourites to sign the 18-year-old.

According to the Daily Record (January 27, 20:36), the Seagulls want to finalize a deal before the January transfer window closes.

Despite only being 18 years old. The winger made his senior debut for Gers over a year ago,

playing in a 3-1 League Cup triumph over Queen of the South at Ibrox.

Since then, he has played for the B Team and has impressed, which has put him on Brighton’s radar.

The Premier League club,

owned by billionaire Tony Bloom, will have no problem offering the Englishman a hefty wage increase.

If the desire to play in the world’s top league isn’t enough,

he can look at the track record of the many young players who have moved to the Amex.

Moises Caicedo and Alexis MacAllister, among others,

arrived at Brighton as unknowns but have now become household names in English football.

Rangers will, of course, do everything they can to keep the assailant under control, but if he’s turned south,

he may try to force an exit.

In other Rangers news, clubs have contacted the club as another first-team player is expected to leave soon.

Ferguson, speaking live on Go Radio,

as reported by Football Scotland, said: “Sometimes when you have the armband, the crowd have a go at you.

I’ll be honest: Tavernier works well for me. When he’s having difficult games or situations within games,

he usually comes up with an answer, like he did last night.

“Raskin has been one of my favourites since he arrived in January.

It took him a few weeks to adjust, which is normal, but I like him.

“I think he’s a superb footballer; he wants the ball all the time and plays from great angles.

His first thought is always to play that!
