Rangers may add another striker to their roster this month as they

continue to search for a new addition.

If Glasgow Rangers’ most recent acquisition is any indication,

they may enjoy the last few days of the transfer window.

Mohammed Diomande, a midfield player who has signed on an initial l

oan with an obligation to buy during the summer,

was officially confirmed by the Gers on Friday.

This is a transaction that suits all parties involved.

The deadline is drawing near, and it even seems like Philippe Clement has added a new left-back,

as Fabrizio Romano reports the club has agreed to sign Brazilian Jefte.

Could there be one or two more signings before next week, though,

given Clement’s pressing desire to expand his offensive options?

Rangers are looking for a new forward.

The addition of Diomande to the midfield and the signing of Jefte to the left back position seem to have

stabilized the position, but if the Belgian is going to win additional titles this season, he will still need at

least one more striker.

Lawrence Shankland is one name that has consistently been associated with the Ibrox side. Could the

Gers finally make a significant move to advance the Hearts in the last days of the winter window?

Shankland’s contract with Hearts ends at the conclusion of the following season, and according to

Football Insider, the club has reportedly returned to trying to sign him this month.

In an interview with GIVEMESPORT, journalist Dean Jones gave a more recent update on the

circumstances, saying:

“Hearts supporters are counting down the days and becoming more hopeful that this agreement will fall

through. I’m advised not to completely rule out a move by the Rangers for Shankland and that there is a

chance.

It’s not dead yet, but it won’t happen for sure. Thus, in case Rangers supporters are hoping for some

hope that this agreement will survive, it still does, but not by much.

Should a deal materialize, it might be evocative of the January 2006 transfer that brought striker Kris

Boyd from Kilmarnock to Ibrox, and the 28-year-old might undoubtedly have an impact like to that of

the former Gers goal machine.
