Lakers News: Unexpected Trade Deadline Priority for Los Angeles Unveiled

Your Los Angeles Lakers, who are currently 23–23, have a huge trade deadline coming up. They have the potential to add a number of players, such as Zach LaVine, Bruce Brown, and Alex Caruso.

Murray, a 6-foot-5 combo guard, is a valuable asset on the offensive end of the court.

He was the league leader in steals just two seasons ago, but he has since lost that reputation.

He went from playing for a good defensive team under Gregg Popovich to one with Nate McMillan and Quinn Snyder; a large portion of that may have to do with the strategy, the players surrounding him, and his offensive responsibilities.

Anthony Davis will provide Murray with a defensive line of defense on the Lakers, allowing him to return to his more aggressive, ball-hawking ways from his prime.

With a career-high 3-point percentage of 38.7%, he is having a stellar offensive year. Considering that he has a career 3-point percentage of just 33.5%, it is important to note that this enormous improvement may not last.

One big worry for the Lakers is that once they join the club, shooters often struggle.

The team’s offense would be destroyed if Murray returns to his 33.5% shooting percentage, or even just drops to the mid-30s area.

He might end up blocking up offensive space and joining LeBron James and Anthony Davis as virtually non-shooters.

Another problem is that Murray would not be allowed to play with Jarred Vanderbilt, which is unfortunate because they may be a very strong defensive combination.

The other discussion is included with the return package because it’s not entirely clear what LA would have to give up.

They would be giving up a homegrown talent who they don’t seem to want to let go of if they decide to part with Reaves.

They will be losing one of the league’s hottest players with a high ceiling every night if they give up on Russell.

Los Angeles is playing with fire, but we’ll see what transpires in the end.
