Today, Midi Libre features a lengthy interview with former Celtic defender Christopher Jullien, in which he discusses his time spent in Scotland.

The player was questioned about his experience playing British football after one of his teammates was linked to Burnley.

Even though Jullien stated that Celtic wouldn’t compete with the best teams in the Premier League,

he made care to highlight the size of the team.

Recently, Léo Leroy inquired about my impression of Celtic. And I likened it to traveling at 80 mph on a freeway,

when no one pays attention to a player who stops or moves to the side. They just strive for the top level because

they are pressed for time. Again, even if Celtic is a large team, they are not as good as the top teams in the Premier League,

Jullien stated to Midi Libre. In 2019, Jullien made a €8 million transfer from Toulouse to Celtic. He made 62 games and

scored 10 goals in his three years at Glasgow, which is a great average for a defender.

However, that hasn’t happened at Montpellier, and he was questioned about why he hasn’t netted a goal since joining

the French team. I scored for every squad I played for! It’s incredible because I’ve always performed well in Dijon,

at TFC, and at Celtic! To my defense, I find it comforting that Kiki, Becir, and Maxime don’t receive many points (laughs).

We are progressing better lately, aiming for Khalil’s “Max” goal. However, it’s not typical for me to be goalless!

He won two Scottish Premiership titles, a Scottish Cup, and a League Cup while he was a player with Celtic.

In the summer of 2022, the center-back departed for Montpellier, where he has recently started on a regular basis.

Next year is when his contract with the French team expires.
