Turkish-Football has learned from sources that Ridvan Yilmaz desires to remain at Rangers in spite of offers from Galatasaray.

Yilmaz is happy and content with Rangers after making an impact on the squad. Despite the Turkish giants’ interest, he has no desire

to return to Istanbul.

Though rumors of a transfer involving Galatasaray and Hellas Verona have surfaced, Yilmaz is keen to stay in Glasgow.

The Turkish media has reported on multiple occasions that the Lions had extended an offer to Yilmaz and worked out personal

arrangements. As of right now, the Lions and Yilmaz have not reached a deal or had direct communication.

Rangers and Galatasaray are in talks.

Now that he has gained the manager’s trust and established himself on the team, the defender is unwilling to leave. His goals for this

summer’s European Championship are to play a regular role for Rangers and to be called up for the Turkish national team.

For the Scottish behemoths, the absence of depth at left-back—Yilmaz and Borna Barisic are the sole options—is a serious worry.

Yilmaz has started the last five league games for Rangers and scored in the 3-0 away win over Hibernian yesterday.

The 24-year-old also provided an assist in the previous game in the 3-1 away win over Kilmarnock.

Rangers have won four of the last five games Yilmaz has started in and has played all 90 minutes in the last five games.
