Rangers prepping social media as deal for new transfer all done – Chris Jack

Chris Jack moots social media preparation as Mohamed Diomande transfer announcement imminent at Rangers

Mohamed Diomande’s transfer to Rangers may be announced at any time,

with the midfielder’s move to Ibrox complete, according to Chris Jack.

The Light Blues are expected to complete the £4.5million signing for the 22-year-old midfielder

[B.T, 23 January] as their second addition of the January transfer window after Fabio Silva joined the ranks at Ibrox on loan from Wolves.

While Diomande’s arrival was delayed by storms preventing him from completing the trip to Glasgow,

Jack has claimed that the deal has been completed and he will be revealed as a Gers player sooner rather than later.

On Thursday (25 January, 18:30), he said on the Rangers Review: “In terms of an announcement,

it’s just a matter of waiting for Rangers to push the button.” The transaction has been finalized,

and he will be a Rangers player.

“I asked somebody at the game last night if we should expect an announcement today

and they played it down but it is just a matter of whenever Rangers want to do their social media stuff.”

Rangers fans have been eagerly awaiting a new arrival during the January transfer window,

since Silva’s arrival feels like a long time ago, and this is a very exciting acquisition for the Light Blues heading into the second half of the season.

Philippe Clement’s midfield has looked a little light in recent weeks,

with Nicolas Raskin and Ryan Jack out for extended periods of time,

so strengthening that area was always going to be a priority during the January transfer window.

Diomande appears to be a very promising prospect who might be a revelation in the middle of the park between now and the end of the season,

but it is evident that the midfielder is seen as a long-term project in Glasgow.

Hopefully, he can hit the ground running and impress right away,

but Rangers fans should not have to wait long to witness their new signing in action.
