Jake Hastie, a former winger for the Rangers, had a hard time living up to the anticipation around him when he initially entered Ibrox in the summer of 2019.

During his adolescent years, he was considered a promising player in Scottish football due to his remarkable

record of six goals in 14 games for Motherwell.

Hastie was loaned out to teams like Rotherham United, Motherwell, Patrick Thistle, and Linfield,

Hastie had the agony of relegation in his first season, but he went on to establish himself as a first team player in the North of England

last season. He returned to Scottish football six months after being demoted, and he will now try to resurrect his career with Hamilton

Accies, a team in League One.

The winger says he has no regrets about joining Rangers and instead looks back with fondness

on his time at Glasgow and the lessons he took away from the team.

During an exclusive interview with Lanarkshire Live Sport, he recalled: “Rangers is a big club and I always knew that going in there

when I signed. However, I was young (20) and facing up against players like Ryan Kent and Jo Aribo,

so it was a tough ask for me.
