Rangers decide whether to sell Ibrox ace after what happened last night in Edinburgh

Bursadabugun claims that after Ridvan Yilmaz’s goal against Hibernian, Rangers had reconsidered their decision to sell the player.

On Thursday, January 25, the magazine announced on its website that the footballer was rumored to be joining Galatasaray.

But bursadabugun noted that the proposed move this month is now off after the left-back’s goal at Easter Road on Wednesday (24

January).

Bursadabugun claims that Rangers’ intention to sell changed as a result of Rıdvan Yılmaz’s goal,

whose name was brought up alongside Galatasaray throughout the transfer window.

Excellent choice

Yilmaz scored a well-taken goal against Hibs, so Rangers made the right option in holding onto him.

The left-back opened the scoring at Easter Road following a fantastic pass from John Lundstram,

with Todd Cantwell and Cryiel Dessers also finding the back of the net for the visitors.

Yilmaz will have wanted to have had more minutes for the Gers at this stage of his spell at the club,

but the displays of Borna Barisic have made that difficult.

But it was the former who was given the nod by manager Philippe Clement under the lights in Edinburgh,

with the latter watching on from the bench.

And Yilmaz definitely didn’t disappoint, with the full-back impressing at both ends of the pitch during his 90 minutes.

The performance ought to be more than sufficient to persuade Clement to keep Yilmaz at Ibrox, if only until the end of the current

campaign, after which negotiations over his summer departure may be permitted.

In other Rangers news, given what happened recently with his boss Clement, one player who is connected to leaving the team is almost

certain to stay at Ibrox.
