Rangers manager Philippe Clement has made three changes to

his starting lineup for tonight’s SPFL match against Hibernian, the club stated.

Jack Butland starts in goal instead of Robby McCrorie after his performance in

the cup win against Dumbarton at the weekend, while Fabio Silva replaces Cyriel Dessers.

Connor Goldson is absent from the matchday squad due to suspension,

thus Leon Balogun replaces him in central defence with John Souttar.

Exit-linked Ridvan Yilmaz is named a starter once more,

amid rumors concerning his future, with Borna Barisic named a substitute.

Here we go!

The second half of the season is now well and truly upon us,

and Clement has an excellent opportunity to lead Rangers to a true title campaign and push Celtic all the way.

The Old Firm defeat in December was obviously a major blow given how things were shaping up,

but the manager spent additional time with the players on the training pitch over the winter break,

and they can now look to press on.

Injuries continue to be a major issue for the manager, but he still has a quality squad,

as evidenced by this lineup, and the transfer window is still open for another week.

The bench isn’t the strongest, so the players on the field from

the start will have to hit the ground running and get things going in order to

cause Hibs issues and grab the three points, putting all of the pressure on Celtic in the coming games.

It’s a new year of league play, which offers a chance to start again with a clear goal in mind.

Now the players must demonstrate their abilities.
