Owen Beck to be ‘fantastic’ new Rangers signing as Ibrox approach made for Liverpool defender

Owen Beck to be ‘fantastic’ new Rangers signing as Ibrox approach made for Liverpool defender

On January 4, Daily Mail columnist Simon Jones stated the Light Blues had an offer knocked back the Reds for Beck,

who was recalled back after a loan spell at Dundee at the beginning of the month.

With Ridvan Yilmaz’s future seeming uncertain and Galatasaray apparently making him their “number one” goal,

Philippe Clement is reportedly keeping an eye on the left-back position

Although it still seems unlikely that Beck will join the team,

former Rangers player Ferguson told Ibrox News that he believes the player would fit in well there.

“The lad came up, and although Dundee hasn’t exactly struggled,

they have been under pressure in one or two of their games.

Nevertheless, he has been their bright spot,

and it is obvious that he is a very excellent player.

“I think he would really thrive in a Rangers lineup with better players surrounding him,

so if the Rangers could get him, that would be an incredible move for them.

“We are aware of the precarious scenario surrounding Ridman Yilmaz;

Barisic’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

While Barisic is a talented player, his performance in pivotal moments has always been questioned.

“Yilmaz has been a slow adjuster and occasionally struggles with injuries,

but I think he would be a fantastic addition to the Rangers team as a young player from Liverpool.”

In other Rangers news, Clement would have to choose between two Ibrox players,

which could be uncomfortable.
