Rangers want to sign Ajax defender last-gasp loan on cards – Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano drops exciting Rangers transfer update from Ibrox

The transfer expert has delivered his verdict.

Rangers have had a relatively quiet January transfer window since bringing in Fabio Silva on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the beginning of the month

That hasn’t stopped the rumors about transfers,

though, as the Gers aim to bolster Philippe Clement’s attacking lineup even further.

News about Rangers transfers
Rangers have been connected to many new strikers this month,

including Hearts’ Lawrence Shankland and Michy Batshuayi. But with the January transfer window closing in seven days, Silva and Silva are still the only ones who have left Ibrox.

However, that might be about to change—and not because Shankland or even are coming.

Instead, it seems like Mohamed Diomande, a midfielder for Nordsjaelland,

will have a physical before joining Rangers this month.

Diomande appears set to finalize a move estimated to be worth £4.5 million,

which may give Clement a significant advantage as he pursues Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

After Diomande, the Gers might not be finished either.

Rangers are still in the process of finalizing more names, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

“I think Rangers will look at some opportunities,” Romano stated to GiveMeSport.

It’s evident that now is the time to go into more specific stages of discussions because they are working on some names. They’ll probably try to get something done in the last few days of the window.

Having said that, Rangers may have a busy week as they attempt to cap off the January transfer window with a bang.

It remains to be seen if that brings in a new player to start alongside Silva,

but an offensive addition would be very much appreciated at Ibrox.

Where Rangers need to get better
Clement, who is well aware that his team still needs players,

recently discussed the possibility that the Rangers will finish off their January business.

According to Rangers News, “Everyone’s aligned about that,

that we need a few more in certain positions.” I am aware that everyone involved in that at the club is working day and night on it.
