Steph Curry’s first Olympics? Warriors star is a finalist for Team USA roster

Curry will turn 36 in March, but he has never played in the Olympics. In 2016, he pulled out of the running for the Rio Games, citing

knee and ankle injuries and an extended run in the postseason leading up to the NBA Finals that June. For the Tokyo 2020 Games

played in 2021, he was coming off a grueling NBA schedule condensed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The two-time MVP has previously competed for Team USA in the FIBA World Championship

in 2010 and the FIBA World Cup in 2014.

Paul, who will be 39 years old when the Olympics begin, has experience competing for Team USA on the grandest platform; he won

gold in both the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London squads.

Draymond Green, a gold medallist with Team USA in 2016 and 2020, and Klay Thompson,

a member of the 2016 gold-medal team and the 2014 World Cup-winning team, were not included on the national team’s first roster.
