Nico Williams may have ended all transfer rumours when he said that fans of

Athletic Bilbao should be “relaxed” about his future given his connections to Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old has reportedly long been admired by Unai Emery, who has Villa on his radar.

Williams chose to remain in Spain despite Villa’s prior attempts to sign him.

A number of teams, including Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Barcelona,

are reportedly considering making a move for him as he approaches the last year of his contract.

There is optimism that he will remain with Bilbao even if he has not yet signed a new contract with the team.

Williams has addressed rumours and stated that he is happy at Bilbao. “I enjoy being in Bilbao.

“Sports fans need not worry,” he said, allowing them to rest.

In the meantime, his brother Inaki stated: “I know that my brother is happy in Bilbao.

Those things are done when both parties are happy and content.” my brother and i are realising the dream of my parents—whatever has to be, will be shortly.

“We hope so, and we are happy here at home. We are from here, and we grew up with Athletic,

the club that helped shape who we are and allowed us to pursue our goals.”

Nicholas “Nico” Williams Arthuer was born on July 12, 2002, and is a professional football player from Spain.

He plays as a winger for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga and for the Spanish national team. After joining the Athletic Bilbao youth academy in 2013,

he was promoted to the reserve team in 2020 and to the first team a year later.

He became Iñaki’s older brother’s teammate.

Williams gained recognition for his speed and dribbling abilities quickly.

In 2022, he made his senior team debut. He was included in Spain’s FIFA World Cup squad.
