Bruised Beale cites Rangers ‘instability on and off pitch’

Michael Beale has admitted he was left heartbroken and bruised after being sacked as Rangers manager.

And the former Ibrox boss cited instability on and off the pitch as he reflected on a difficult spell at the club as manager.
Beale, the current manager of Sunderland, has maintained that he gave his all throughout his tenure at Rangers,
but he also promised that the experience will improve him as a manager.
“There is a lot of emotion that goes into managing big football clubs,
you put your heart and soul into it,” Beale stated to Sky Sports.

I spent several years working at that club,

where I made significant investments in the people, the city,

and everything else.

“Now, did it cause you any bruises? How do you…are you giving your all to your work if you’re not wounded, shattered occasionally,

or wounded by your terrible days?

What it does for me as a young manager going forward is provide me with a ton of experience.

I had a great time at both Queens Park Rangers and Rangers,

and I’m grateful for both of those experiences. Without a doubt,

they will strengthen my managerial abilities going forward.”

After revealing that there was “a lot of turnover” at Rangers when he was manager in Glasgow,

Beale continued by branding stability at football teams as “really important”.

“I think stability in a football club is really important and when you come to recruitment there was a lot of turnover in my last club,”

Beale commented on his time at Ibrox.

“I still think they have a fantastic chance,

to fulfil Rangers, whatever they want to fulfil.

“But there was a lot of change there and maybe that can destabilise.

“I think it’s crucial for us to comprehend that at Sunderland as well,

to motivate the team, but naturally,

there was a lot of upheaval with players coming in and going out,

so it will take some time for things to settle in.

There are moments when you have to jump right in and meet extremely high demands.

We were in a terrific position,

so I’m just as happy as anyone to see the team go on and win the Scottish League Cup. However, winning the cup is a different story.
