Rangers star is European giant’s “number one” target amid claims of January bid – report

Glasgow Rangers defender on the left Galatasaray has identified Ridvan Yilmaz as their “number one” target for the post in January.

The Turkish international has been the subject of a lot of conjecture this transfer window,

according to rumors that Rangers turned down Galatasaray’s initial loan offer earlier in the month.

Additionally, Rangers manager Philippe Clement asserted that the 22-year-old would not be

moving unless a team offered to pay Ridvan Yilmaz’s estimated £3.5 million.

Ridvan’s dedication to the Rangers cause is further reinforced by the fact that,

despite the obvious fact that the Gers won’t be giving up anytime soon,

Galatasaray is still being brought up.

Ridvan Yilmaz Galatasaray’s “primary” objective

Journalist Kutlu Akinpinar mentioned the Turkish Super Lig giants in a clip that she posted on Tivibu Spor earlier today.

The tweet that is attached to the video says that Galatasaray has

identified Ridvan Yilmaz as its “number one” left-back target,

despite the fact that the statements are in Turkish.

The journalist also states that Wilfried Zaha, Victor Nelsson,

and Sacha Boey of Galatasaray are the subject of transfer interest,

despite the fact that no formal bids have been submitted.

Galatasaray is rumored to be searching for a new number eight,

but Ridvan Yilmaz isn’t the only intriguing name.

Rangers’ most recent left-back transfer

Although the Rangers’ transfer window has been dominated by the Ridvan Yilmaz controversy thus far,

ties to Galatasaray and other possible suitors have cooled in recent days.

It comes with Verona, a Serie A team that was heavily linked to Ridvan during the transfer window,

choosing to go after Josh Doig was sold.

The Ridvan Yilmaz position is still somewhat unclear, as earlier in the window,

sources suggested the Ibrox left-back may not truly desire to return to Turkey.

Additionally, Rangers will require a backup left-back option in

the event that Ridvan or squadmate Borna Barisic leave Ibrox, as stated by Philippe Clement.

The matter will eventually come to a head because the window is about to enter its last week.

Though there are many connections to Galatasaray,

Ridvan Yilmaz doesn’t exactly seem eager to leave Rangers.
