Brendan Rodgers’ side, who advanced to the last 16 with a resounding 5-0 victory over Highland League side Buckie Thistle at Parkhead on Sunday, will face the Buddies in Paisley. Both teams met in a league game at the SMiSA Stadium earlier this month, with the Hoops winning 3-0.
Meanwhile, Viaplay Cup champions Rangers, who defeated League Two Dumbarton 4-1 in the fourth round, have been given a home tie against managerless Ayr United. The Honest Men, who are battling in the Championship, parted ways with head coach Lee Bullen last week after two years in charge.
Fourth-tier Bonnyrigg Rose face a difficult trip to top-flight Aberdeen, while last season’s beaten finalists Inverness visit Hibernian, and Edinburgh rivals Hearts travel to Airdrieonians.
The eight ties will be played over the weekend of February 10/11. Viaplay Sport and BBC Scotland each have the rights to two games, therefore up to four matches can be shown.
