EL club now makes Rangers ace No 1 target, transfer will ‘Definitely’ happen

As news from Turkey comes about Rangers player Ridvan Yilmaz, the Galatasaray deal is “definitely” going to materialize.
Galatasaray “definitely” intends to sign a left-back, and their top target is Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz.

Journalist Yakup Cinar made this claim while discussing the possible relocation on TGRT Haber on Saturday, January 20.

This season, the 22-year-old Turkey international has made 14 appearances for the Scottish team across all competitions.

Advancing?

While there are no guarantees during the transfer season, it appears likely that Yilmaz will join Galatasaray this month.

It is evident that the left-back needs more playing time, regardless of whether that is a temporary or permanent arrangement.

Philippe Clement has been giving him consistent playing time lately, but that is primarily because Borna Barisic, the starting left back, has not been available.

But Yilmaz might get an opportunity to play left-back because the Croatian is one of the few players whose contracts expire at the end of the current campaign.

However, the latter may be hoping to make the Turkey team for Euro 2024, so he’ll be eager to sign a contract this month to play as much club football as possible. Furthermore, Galatasaray is probably going to receive more minutes than Ibrox.

However, Clement is unlikely to be happy about Rangers losing a good player like Yilmaz given that they are contending in the league, Scottish Cup, and Europa League.

Even though the manager may find it difficult to maintain the player’s happiness, he needs as large a roster as possible right now, particularly when injuries are starting to mount.
