UEFA coach ‘stunned’ by Rangers transfer news as Mohamed Diomande closes in on Ibrox move

UEFA-licensed coach John Walker is “stunned” that Rangers have been linked with a move for FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Mohamed Diomande.

According to a report Dailysport on Sunday,

January 21, by the Danish site B.T.,

the Ivory Coast Under-23 international is scheduled to have an Ibrox medical next week.

Walker, a Rangers supporter who has worked for several teams,

including Patrick Thistle,

thinks the Gers would have a major coup if they can make it off.

“Had said in December, [Ibrahim] Osman,

[Adam] Nagalo & Diomande were players I’d expect to make BIG moves like [Mohammed] Kudus (West Ham),”

Walker wrote on his personal Twitter profile on January 21.

“I’m shocked to see connections with us from a trustworthy source,

and he would be a fantastic acquisition!

“He would fit the Club Transfer Model and be an incredible acquisition.”

Although not much is known about Diomande,

the Gers ought to be pursuing deals like this more frequently.

There is a lot of unrealized potential in the Scandinavian market,

and frequently at a low price that might make for a great little deal.

Given that Diomande is currently 22 years old—not exactly youthful in the modern game

he should anticipate starting more games than not.

Philippe Clement may make the most of his versatility as a player by playing as a number eight or six.

In 13 games this season,

Diomande has an impressive 88.7% pass completion accuracy and has tallied three assists.

He appears to be an all-around midfielder because of his strength in the defensive facets of the game,

such as tackling.

If everything goes as planned and this sale closes without any problems,

it will be wonderful to regularly observe Diomande’s attributes up close.

In unrelated Rangers news,

the team’s victory over Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup has been deemed “horrific.
