Lakers Reporter Says Darvin Ham Has Issues With 1 Player
The Los Angeles Lakers’ play this season hasn’t really left much of an impression.
The Lakers have had a lacklustre season overall, despite their strong performance in the NBA In-Season Tournament.
It follows that there is little doubt that a certain amount of conflict is beginning to arise between the players and the coaching staff.
Guard Austin Reaves and head coach Darvin Ham are reportedly having problems as a result of Reaves’ limited playing time this season, according to Lakers reporter Anthony Irwin.
Irwin stated, “I’m here to tell you that, for whatever reason, Ham doesn’t mess with Austin the way that you would think he would. I’ve heard it very clearly.”

During the 2022–2023 NBA season, Austin Reaves emerged as one of the Los Angeles Lakers’ most important players.
After all, throughout the second part of the season, Reaves assisted the Lakers in securing a postseason berth.
Reaves’s team average of 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game during the previous season impressed the Lakers management staff.
Before the 2023–24 NBA season, the Purple and Gold gave him a four-year, $53.8 million contract.
In terms of performance, he is finishing the campaign with averages of 15.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game.
Reaves has started just nine of the 32 games he has participated in this season, despite his impressive stats.
In addition, he is making good field goals (48.3%) and three-pointers (37.4%).
Taking everything into account, Reaves appears to be looking for more responsibility within the team. If Irwin’s story is accurate, this might cause the 25-year-old to get even more irate and eventually demand a trade from the Lakers.
Can the company resolve this matter as quickly as possible? Time will tell.
