Warriors Announce Roster Move After Celtics Game
Warriors Announce Roster Move After Celtics Game
On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors made the announcement that
they had brought back Gui Santos from the Santa Cruz Warriors.
The news was released just before the Warriors’ next game against the Washington Wizards and
following their most recent victory against the Boston Celtics.
Even in the games that he has been available to play, Santos has not played much in the NBA this season.
He has been mainly held in the G-League by the franchise to gain significant
playing time with the Santa Cruz Warriors,
although he is still available for the NBA when time permits.
The Warriors will now take on a team at the opposite end of the Eastern Conference rankings after their
thrilling victory against the Celtics in their most recent game.
Despite being among the poorest basketball teams this season,
the Wizards will still require the Warriors to play with the proper amount of concentration.
It’s important to note that Andrew Wiggins’ availability for this game against the Wizards is uncertain,
which may have contributed to the team’s decision to recall Santos.
This is not to suggest that Santos would play in Wiggins’ absence or even that he won’t play,
but it’s always a good idea to have backup plans in case something goes wrong.
At 7:00 PM PST, the Warriors and Wizards will tip off.
