Everton eye Jan move for PL rival, Sean Dyche knows him well – report
Josh Brownhill, a midfielder for Burnley, is a target for Everton in January, according to Football Transfers.
The website stated on December 22 that Sean Dyche, the manager of the Toffees,
is still a fan of Brownhill, whom he oversaw at Turf Moor.
Due to the budgetary limitations they must operate under,
the Toffees will once again need to box clever in the transfer market this window.
But according to Football Transfers, Dyce is looking to bolster his central midfield.
In addition, the 28-year-old has been connected to the Toffees in the past,
and he will soon enter the last six months of his contract.
This might lead to a move being made, either on loan or as a cheap permanent deal.
With players like James Garner, Amadou Onana, and Idrissa Gueye,
Everton has a good central midfield lineup,
but you get the impression Dyche will be trying to bolster that area because they lack depth in a key area.
However, Dyche’s ability to bring in players will mostly depend on
how many can be signed and whether they can operate within the new budget the team will have to work with,
particularly if they don’t sell any players.
Seeing what commerce can be done will be intriguing.
