The Romanian winger has been playing frequently in La Liga while on loan with Alaves in Spain, albeit occasionally off the substitute bench.

Although his loan agreement expires in the summer of 2024, he has a two-year contract at Ibrox, which has raised questions about his future.

It’s believed that the Belgian manager may wish to give the 25-year-old an opportunity to be a part of his new team.

Philippe Clement succeeded Micheal Beale after the latter approved the player’s loan departure after the player questioned his lack of playing time. Though it remains unclear if Hagi could be called up for a recall in January.

Clement was quizzed on the matter in an interview with Romanian outlet

In response, he said, “There are some things I only discuss with the player and not with the media.” I apologize, but I don’t usually discuss transfers, rumors, and such unrelated topics in public.

“I know you’re curious, but we only talk about these specifics in the club. When it comes to my guys, I dislike debating point disputes. Since the club has made this decision in addition to me, we’ll see what transpires.”
