Dr Rajpal Brar has stated that Tyrone Mings, the defender for Aston Villa,

has decided not to retire from professional football following his ruptured ACL.

Before making a post on his social media account,

The Daily Mail said on Twitter that the Englishman had aroused concerns about his impending retirement.

The injury expert thinks the club will soon begin exposing him to light exercise routines and that this is all just fear mongering.

With his cryptic post insisting he ‘would provide an update today’ with Aston Villa fans, Tyrone Mings ignites suspicions of RETIREMENT. 😨#PL | #AVFC Nov. 21, 2023 — Mail Sport (@MailSport) https://t.co/C0DS2osnI0

Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist,

discussed his ailment with Villa News as follows:

“Unless he’s experienced some kind of serious setback,

that post sounds more like scare mongering than anything else.

He underwent an anterior cruciate ligament injury and reconstruction.

Since his surgery was about 3.5 months ago,

his daily routine probably consists of increasing force generation in his knee and gradually strengthening it.

Nothing to indicate he’ll be hanging up the football boots anytime soon,

although the team may start introducing some light rotation and side-to-side movement shortly.

Unfortunately, the 30-year-old’s season ended just a few minutes after it began on August 12 against Newcastle when he sustained an injury after playing 31 minutes.

The England international was removed from the pitch during the first half of the match,

and he will now need months of rest.

Although a comeback to the first team is not anticipated for this season,

he may participate in some light training before May.
